Letter to: David Prosser, The Independent, London
24th August, 2005
Dear Mr Prosser.
Your excellent article on Saturday the 20th August concerning alternative
power, was written for the purpose of inviting us to see the opportunities
for investing in the need to find alternative sources of power,
in order to make money.
The snag is, that in this context our survival depends more upon
power than upon money.
Power produced for the benefit of a shareholder, will be far, far
less, than the power produced for the survival of the human race.
The truth of that statement may not be obvious. It can seem as
though there is no other way, of obtaining the requisite money.
I have been talking to the boys, who are struggling to develop
ways and means of using the gravitational force of the moon, to
give us our power. In our terms that power is infinite and everlasting.
At this stage of our development, the only comparable alternative
is nuclear energy. As yet there is no other comparable source of
energy.
But with human beings still liable to go into a psychotic break,
it is a bit too dodgy, to rely on nuclear power.
Terrorists could with the greatest of ease and without a qualm,
send us all to Paradise with nuclear energy misused.
The engineers and scientists working to develop the harnessing
of oceanic flows, tell me, that this method, does not appeal to
shareholders, it is not a runner.
If our fate lies in the hands of shareholders, who rely on others
to do all the work, we shall not make it.
We need a new source of money with which to finance tidal power.
We must start with the realisation that, that money does not yet
exist and new money needs to be minted or printed or somehow created
by the Government.
We need new money in vast quantities, now and yesterday and for
tomorrow. New money freshly minted, printed or somehow created,
by the Government under our direction, so there is no inflation
and the new money spent specifically by the Government for the development
of oceanic energy.
I am told by the engineers and scientists working on this new source
of energy, that it could be done and done rapidly if the Government
put enough new money into the project, fast enough. But the Government
is not doing that, but is going for broke on wind power, which does
not even have the potential for what is needed.
For every billion pounds of newly minted money, spent on creating
power from tidal flows or wave motion, over a billion pounds worth
of electricity would be created and used, allowing an infinite and
inexhaustible supply of power to be produced for the benefit of
us all and no hint of inflation.
It does require a new way of thinking, concerning the creation
and use of money.
We need to discover that new money created and spent by the Government
for certain specific purposes, that do create wealth when done correctly,
cannot cause inflation, however great the sum.
This is a scientific fact, which is not yet known and must be known,
when faced with a problem that determines our ability to survive
as a species. Without this certainty of unlimited power, now and
in the future, our survival as the human race, in its current advanced
stage of development, is not possible. There is no turning back,
without a global war, which could be terminal.
By the time that the high seas have eroded and destroyed this new
initiative, scientists will have made such progress, that other,
as yet undiscovered sources of energy, will be in full use.
