    How are the mighty fallen

    15th April, 2005

If we really understood how and why Britain's last volume car maker has bitten the dust, we should every one of us be better off.

We should understand how the fabulous four from Phoenix were able to walk in, asset strip Longbridge and walk off with £50 million plus, leaving 6000 employees without a job and many more in subsidiary firms, with no work.

A major national disaster, aggravated by many an ignoramus, sneering at the work force for digging their own grave.

The top dogs in the shape of Patricia Hewitt, Tony Woodley, Gordon Brown and Tony Blair, condone and connive in the fraud, which is dumbing down Britain into a banana republic. They are content to sit on their hands, blame the European Union and its laws, for making it impossible for them to take responsibility and make it safe for us to survive. They look forward to marching in triumph to an election victory.

I was very much alive in 1938, when we could see the second world war, right upon us and no industrial ability to fight and win.

How we managed to do so, no historian will ever know. But grass roots knew how to make things go right and we did. By exactly the same token we could save Longbridge, but we are now so dumb, that we don't bother.

We know the economy is insolvent, that we now owe more money than we could ever repay. And yet we continue to splurge on credit and rejoice in our ability to spend what we do not possess, faster than ever before.

Here is a wake up call, to see that we are drifting into and under a totalitarian federal state of Europe and on the verge of losing our Freedom for ever more.
