The Fallacy of the Green Tax

    12th November 2006.

If we liken global-warming to wear and tear of an express train, and we attempt to prolong the life of the track by slowing the express with the brake pedal, as represented by a Green Tax, we take a step towards making the train even more uneconomical. Or even if we use a green tax to reduce the power of the engine, so that it runs slower, we shall need to run more trains to do the same work.

Better by far to examine the reason the train is running at all. See if the train is as essential as we imagine it to be.

The first thing we discover is that 50 per cent of the commuters are earning their living by taxing, by one means or another, the other 50 per cent of the travellers.

This might not to be obvious and therefore not provide an instant cure for the problem. But careful scrutiny will actually show that the parasitic passengers are far more than 50 per cent of the train’s work load. It is more likely to work out to be at least 70 per cent. Thus by reducing the wear and tear by 70 per cent, we preserve the track and make it everlasting with the minimum of maintenance.

So how do we make trouble for ourselves in order to survive.

First and foremost by working for the taxman and for the money lender. 50 per cent of the cost of what we buy is interest paid by the producer. We then pay VAT on the total cost. Like when we buy petrol, we pay VAT on top of the petrol tax. Take a look at pensions. We pay tax on the money we earn in order to save some of it for a pension. When we receive the pension we pay tax on that money which has already been taxed. As a result it is impossible to create for ourselves an adequate pension on which to survive. The Government must also give us a pension, but does not have the money to do so, nor the gall to raise taxes to cover the cost of having taxed our pension until it is inadequate. The Government tells the banks to issue even more new money as credit and drive us deeper into debt slavery.

Can you see that the rat race we all run, is an attempt to catch our tail as it keeps disappearing before our eyes. We pump more power into the express train in the hope that it will travel so fast that fate cannot catch up with it.

Try to get a glimpse of the insanity of working even harder and longer in order to pay tax and launder credit.

When I am no longer a voice crying in the wilderness and people wake up to the fact that they are being swindled by the bankers, in the biggest scam of human history, we shall have the option of halting our contribution to climate change by cooling our insanity.
