    Pensions and Earnings

The problem with earning money in the world today, is that most of us aspire to making money without earning money.

The newest buzz word on the subject, heavily promoted by the present Government, is gambling. Casinos not factories are to be the source of our wealth in the future. We have already gone a very long way down that road by making the Stock Exchange are new religion.

Using shares as golden handshakes has made the stock exchange open to us all.

“Are you too busy working to make money”. Is promoted with a glorious picture of lying in a hammock between two coconut palms, on a tropical shore, playing the stock exchange on your personal computer.

It is hardly surprising that if you are old-fashioned enough to earn money, you will be in desperate straits if you stop working to rest in retirement. You will need a pension, but anything you have saved, will have been dissipated by those who cream off the wealth created by others, by making their living, gambling with the value of money.

Those who make money without earning money, are robbing those who do earn money. And yet they become the elite in our modern society. Let us face the fact that it is unethical to acquire the wealth created by others without earning some of it. You will come to feel the truth of that badly, when you are required to work longer and retire later.
