“Britannia Rules the Waves, Britons never shall be Slaves”

    Dear Editor,

Written in 1740 has been true until today. Now we face drastic economies reducing our Navy to a mere pretence.

Never has World peace been under greater threat. If we value freedom we need a Navy. We have been given our freedom, by all those who died for us in two world wars. Now we may decide to throw away our freedom for no valid reason.

During the last 300 years our economy has grown at an enormous rate. Economic growth must have a constant supply of new money to service that growth. In 1694 we gave private financiers, such as bankers, the right to create and issue new money.

They have issued that new money as credit and we now have debts public and private of several trillion of pounds. A trillion pounds is one thousand billion pounds. It looks like this £1,000,000,000,000.

Interest must be paid every day on that sum, year in and year out. We borrow more credit to pay that interest. The trillions grow by the billions every year, year in and year out.

These facts are never mentioned by a Chancellor, nor is it explained as the reason for folding up our Navy.

This is all unbelievable. What neither you nor I can understand is what we cannot believe. Unbelievable and incomprehensible is what the bankers rely upon to save themselves from being lynched.

Never will be slaves! But we are enslaved by debt. It is plain to see if we look and observe the obvious.

Why not use the fact that Britain no longer rules the waves as a wake-up call for monetary reform.
